Congratulations to Jake Davis on being announced as the new Head Coach of the Warhawks.

Germantown Alum Eric Kindler played on the winning team in the NCAA 2010 Division 3 - Stagg Bowl XXVII Championship Game in Salem, Virginia. Eric is the starting kicker for The University of Wisconsin Whitewater.

The Gridiron Club was formed two years ago and assumed responsibility for the Football Coaches Scholarships last year.  The football coaches initiated the “Football Coaches Scholarship” 35 years ago and a scholarship golf outing 31 years ago.  Since its inception these scholarships have awarded over $205,000 to approximately 345 players and this year marked the thirty-first golf outing.
The requirements for eligibility for these scholarships are simple:  Candidates must:
1.        Participation in football for four years.
2.        No athletic code violations on record.
3.        Cannot be receiving a full athletic scholarship from a college or university.
4.        Must be enrolled in a post secondary school.
5.        The application process is run by GCSF. You will need to pick up the application at the high school.
 
This year fourteen applicants will be receiving scholarships of $700.
Four of the scholarships are memorial scholarships.  The “Jim Horn” and “Pat Chudecke” memorial scholarships are awarded in honor of men who were original donators and supporters of the golf outing and of the scholarship program.
The “Brent Reiter” and “Bobby Rott” memorial scholarships are in honor of previous recipients of this scholarship.
 
The 2010 recipients of the Germantown Gridiron Club Scholarships are:

The Germantown Gridiron Club has remodeled the Germantown High School varsity locker room, expanding and improving it. 70 new lockers were installed as well as new flooring, paint, tile, benches and more. We need help in paying off this tremendous project.
